Food Safety

At Ben E. Keith, food safety is a top priority.  We are dedicated to keeping the food purchased and delivered to our customers safe and at optimum quality. That’s why we participate in the Global Food Safety Initiative, GFSI, sponsored by The Consumer Goods Forum, CGF. The CGF brings together consumer goods manufacturers and retailers to develop business practices that drive efficiencies, advance food safety, and impact positive change across the industry.

GFSI is a global standard, attached to a rigorous set of requirements, used to achieve certification.  Recognition is seen as a stamp of approval and a signal that we are strongly committed to food safety. We are extremely proud to announce that every Ben E. Keith division has achieved over 95%, the highest level of certification available from IFS for the storage and logistics standard. Food safety and quality assurance are more than just a promise to you.  They are guiding principles embraced by every member of our organization.  “Lots of time and demanding work went into the divisions receiving such awesome scores on their first try,” states Shirley Abderrazzaq, Director of Food Safety.  “A big thank you goes out to every team member, since it takes everyone to have a food safety culture.”
