Position Summary and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Operations I.T. Supervisor is to oversee and support the information technology systems and technical operations within the branch. Responsibilities include installation, training, troubleshooting, problem resolution, purchasing, inventory tracking, systems administration, equipment diagnosis, and providing reliable technical support to personnel and business operations.

  • Provide phone and on-site technical support to BEK personnel to maintain efficiency in technical operations.
  • Train BEK personnel on relevant internal systems and common office applications to ensure the proper use of technology is maintained.
  • Perform management and maintenance of systems and provide backup support as required by the Branch IS Manager.
  • Provide 24 x 7 first-line support via telephone and on-site for technology users at the branch
  • Elevate support issues that cannot be solved locally to the corporate helpdesk and provide sufficient information to aid in further troubleshooting.
  • Train and provide expert assistance in the use of common office productivity applications, including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Learn and assist users with more specialized software applications used by BEK. Keith Company, including applications in both mainframe and open systems environments and purchased systems such as PeopleSoft.
  • Assist with the purchasing of equipment.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, networking equipment, and printers.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and software inventory records.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues and perform troubleshooting to minimize disruptions to branch operations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Dematic issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot signal and access point (AP) issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions, including patch management and data backups.
  • Arrange for outside repair service when appropriate and maintain adequate functional spare equipment to avoid disruptions to branch operations.
  • Perform basic network administration tasks in an Active Directory environment.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with BEK standards and procedures as prepared by Corporate I.S.
  • Support additional branch systems, including telephones, facility access control, and conference room audio-visual systems.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Supervise equipment room personnel and help ensure equipment room operations are organized, safe, and effective.
  • Maintain and project a positive attitude, uncompromising ethical standards, and a high-energy mission focus that will motivate others toward higher levels of performance.

Work Schedule

  • Flex shift position — must be willing to work all shifts as needed.
  • Provide after-hours and emergency technical support as required to maintain continuity of operations.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of PC maintenance and support experience.
  • Expertise with PC applications, advanced PC hardware support, basic networking, and LAN administration.
  • Excellent diagnosis and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with business partners at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to supervise equipment room personnel and coordinate technical activities effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to operational support needs across all shifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
