Position Summary

The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources through departmental rotations, day-to-day support, and special projects. This position will provide exposure to a variety of HR functions while allowing the intern to develop practical HR skills, build professional relationships, and contribute to process improvement and organizational initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured rotations across various Human Resources teams to gain exposure to different HR functions, processes, and career paths.
  • Rotate through areas such as HRIS, Benefits, HR Shared Services, Recruiting, Employee Relations, and other HR functions based on business needs.
  • Assist with HRIS activities, including employee data maintenance, reporting, audits, and system-related projects.
  • Support Benefits activities, including employee inquiries, enrollment processes, communications, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist the HR Shared Services team with employee requests, HR transactions, documentation, and general HR support.
  • Support recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities and help maintain accurate employee records.
  • Support employee engagement, training, and development initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with HR-related research, reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
  • Participate in special projects designed to support HR and organizational goals.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve HR processes, procedures, and efficiency.
  • Help develop and maintain HR resources, presentations, training materials, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to gather information and complete assigned projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee and company information.
  • Attend HR team meetings and participate in learning and development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Previous internship, work, or volunteer experience is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or a related business function.
