The Warehouse Capacity Coordinator position is responsible for identifying and coordinating process improvement initiatives within Ben E. Keith, including best practices and standard operating procedures to maximize existing systems through disciplined daily routines. Additionally, the role is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity, resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction. • Conduct daily Warehouse slotting analyses to ensure products are accurately stored and retrieved to maximize order processing while maintaining industry food safety practices. • Monitor existing Warehouse management systems to ensure food safety and BEK guidelines are met and maintained. • Formulate strategies to increase supply chain productivities • A desire to help others achieve their best • Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics • Build and leverage relationships across business units to identify savings opportunities, develop cost effective solutions, and follow through with implementation. • Collaborate with multiple departments and individuals to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps across the supply chain. • Benchmark divisions within Ben E. Keith to determine, access, and implement Best Practice(s) that will position Ben E. Keith as a company and industry leader. • Inspect warehouse to ensure products are slotted accurately and safely. • Monitor slot-it program to ensure food and safety guidelines are met and maintained. • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience in the food industry. • Knowledge of food industry guidelines • Ability to use and follow safety rules and guidelines • Proficient use of PC and knowledge of Microsoft applications required • Ability to learn and use internal software applications as needed • Good problem-solving and organization skills • Customer-focused • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
