Mike Sweet

President, Ben E. Keith Foods

Mike Sweet currently holds the position of President of the Food Division for Ben E. Keith Company.  He serves on the board for Ben E. Keith Company, IFDA (International Foodservice Distributors Association), Markon Inc., and DMA (Distribution Market Advantage).  He is also on the IFDA Executive Committee. He began his career with Ben E. Keith Company in May 1999.  Over the years, Mike has held positions in sales, purchasing, and operations.  Prior to working at Ben E. Keith Company, Mike worked in commercial real estate and for former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm.

Mike’s current community endeavors include: membership in the Salesmanship Club of Dallas; on the Board of Directors of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association; member of the Touchdown Club benefiting The Rise School of Dallas; member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO); and associate member of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.


Ron Boyd

Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing

Ron began his career with Ben E. Keith as the Assistant Manager of the Dallas Division in 1981. He has held several positions before becoming Senior Vice President of Sales. Ron is a guiding force in the company's sales initiatives and a strong advocate of on-line training and technology advancements for the sales force. In July 2008, Ron assumed responsibility for the Marketing Department as well.


Andy McCaskill

Senior Vice President of Purchasing

Andy, a Texas Tech graduate, began his career in the Dallas Division of Ben E. Keith in 1982, working in the Purchasing Department. In 1984, he was transferred to the General Office to head up all Grocery and Disposable Purchasing for the company and has since been named Vice President of Purchasing for Grocery, Non-Food and Equipment and Supplies. In July 2008, Andy was named the Vice President of Purchasing where he will now oversee purchasing decisions for all categories. As of January 2011, he holds the title of Sr. Vice President of Purchasing.


Robbie Fish

Vice President of Division Management

Robbie began his Ben E. Keith career in 1984, upon his graduation from Texas Christian University. During his tenure, he has served in a variety of positions in sales, operations, transportation, purchasing, and has been a General Manager of three of our divisions. In 2014, Robbie was named Vice President of Division Management. In that capacity, he is responsible for the performance and profitability of all seven divisions.


Roy Markham

Vice President of Operations and Transportation

Roy L. Markham started his career at Ben E. Keith in 1990 as an order selector in Amarillo.  Following that, Roy held numerous positions as route delivery driver, transportation manager in Amarillo, operations manager and fleet manager for ten years in the DFW division for ten years, and most recently as assistant general manager of the Houston division.   In 2014 Roy was named Vice President  of  Operations and Transportation for Ben E. Keith Foods.  Roy’s responsibilities include all warehouse operations, transportation, fleet, food safety, and construction for the company.   Roy graduated from West Texas A&M University with a BA in Biology and two minors in Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.

Senior Vice President of Information Services & CIO

Jim joined Ben E. Keith Company in 2016 and has almost thirty years of information systems and technology experience, most recently serving as Vice President of Global Information Technology and Strategic Planning for Williamson-Dickie.  Jim has an extensive background in supply chain technology, strategic planning, and information systems auditing. 

Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts from Austin College and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Dallas.

Vice President of Human Resources

Elliott Stephenson joined General Office as the Director of Organizational and Employee Development in 2005. He came to Ben E. Keith Company with over twenty-five years of management and consulting experience and holds three very distinguished degrees. Elliott is responsible for all non-sales employee training as well as development of our team members to prepare them for senior roles in the future. In 2007, Elliott was named Senior Director of Human Resources. He was named Vice President of Human Resources for the Food Division in 2011.


Chris Lewis

Vice President of Multi Unit Accounts

Chris began his career at Ben E. Keith in 1992 at The Fort Worth Division. He has 23 years of broadline foodservice distribution experience. Chris has served in a multitude of positions that range from District Sales Representative, Sales Management, Purchasing, and Product Category Specialist. He moved into the General Office as a National Account Manager in 1996. He became Senior National Accounts Manager in 2001. In 2012 Chris was promoted to Vice President of Multi-Unit Accounts.


David Werner

David Werner

Vice President of Marketing

David joined Ben E. Keith as a sales trainee in 1988. Over the next 14 years, he had served in the Oklahoma Division as a District Sales Rep, District Sales Manager, Purchasing Manager and an Assistant General Manager. David moved to the Fort Worth General Office in 2002 to head up the new on-line training tool, KeithiQ, and then became Director of Produce and Dairy as well as Sales Training.   In 2009 David transitioned to Director of Marketing and in 2013 named Vice President, Marketing.   David has a BBA in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Vice President of Sales Development and Training

Brian began his career with Ben E. Keith Company in 2002.  Since that time, he has held leadership positions in all areas of the business.  In his current role, Brian is responsible for the execution of company-wide sales initiatives and the professional development of our 500 member salesforce.  Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin


Sheila Thornburg

Vice President of Health & Nutrition Services

Sheila joined Ben E Keith Company in 1989. She became the Manager for the Healthcare Department in 1995 after supporting the growth and development of our National Account Sales Department as a National Account Manager. Today, as Vice President Health & Nutrition Services, Sheila drives solutions for healthcare as well as college & university dining services, private school & camp programs, military and government bid opportunities. She is an active member in the Women’s Foodservice Forum organization.  Sheila is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University.
