Georgia Pacific named Ben E. Keith's Supplier of the Year

(Fort Worth) – Georgia Pacific, leading manufacturer of paper and disposal products, was named Ben E. Keith Foods 2009 Supplier of the Year at their 26th Annual Supplier Appreciation Dinner held at the Ridglea Country Club. Bill Donahue, President GP Professional Food Service Solutions, accepted the award from Ben E. Keith Foods President Mike Roach.
Ben E. Keith, the nation’s eighth largest broadline foodservice distributor, chose nine winners in six categories from among its top suppliers. Eligible suppliers were qualified by a scorecard of their past year’s performance and winners were chosen by divisional and corporate management.
The Produce category winner was Combs Produce, while McCain Foods USA and Rotella?s Italian Bakery took the Frozen Food category honors. Tyson Foods and Tampa Maid were the Center of the Plate winners. Ventura Foods, LLC and McCormick & Co. won in the Grocery category. Georgia Pacific was chosen in the Non-Foods category, and the Equipment & Supply winner was The Vollrath Company.
