Ben E. Keith Announces Promotions

Fort Worth, TX) Ben E. Keith Company -Foodservice Distributors announces the promotion of Andy McCaskill to the position of Vice President – Purchasing effective July 1, 2008. In his 26 year career with Ben E. Keith, McCaskill has worked extensively in the purchasing arena, and most recently held the position of Vice-President of Grocery, Non-Foods and E&S since 1999.
In a recent realignment in the company’s General Office, McCaskill will assume responsibility for all purchasing. Robert Randolph, formerly Vice-President-Purchasing and Merchandising, Frozen Food & Meats, has been named Vice-President – Purchasing Training and Analysis. Randolph’s career with Ben E. Keith spans forty years.
Positions were then created for departmental purchasing and have been filled by two Divisional Directors of Purchasing and a Purchasing Manager. Randy Tollison will be the Director of Center of the Plate; David Bentancourt assumes the position of Director of Frozen Foods and Grocery; and Steve Reiling will be the Director of Beverage, Non-Foods and E&S. As in the norm for Ben E. Keith, vacated positions have been filled from within the company.
Tollison comes from the Oklahoma Division, where he has been Fresh & Frozen Meat Department Head since 2004. Bentancourt has spent 16 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth Division in most recently as Director of Purchasing. Steve Reiling has been with the company for 14 years in the Amarillo Division, and has been a DSR and Frozen Foods buyer before becoming the Director of Purchasing.
Also moving to the Purchasing Department as Director of Category Management is Mike Sweet, a ten year veteran, formerly a National Accounts Manager, Special Projects Manager and DFW Purchasing Staff.
The newly created KBIT/Operations Analyst will be Justin Collins, a member of DFW Division’s Purchasing Staff, and former DSR. Justin has been with Ben E. Keith for six years.
