Consumer Awareness

Ben E. Keith Beverage Distributors along with Anheuser-Busch, are committed to being part of the solution to drunk driving, underage drinking, alcohol abuse and other alcohol related issues. Ben E. Keith Company has made a proactive effort in creating new ways to deliver powerful messages to audiences across North Texas. The impact from our programs offered to the community leads to our firm belief in fighting underage drinking and the promotion of responsible consumption of our products by adults of legal drinking age.

Over the years Ben E. Keith Beverage Distributors have implemented programs like “It’s your Life” and “Choose Life.” These programs have reached over 100,000 students in the North Texas area in the last nine years. Ben E. Keith Beverage Division employs a full time Consumer Awareness and Education (CA&E) Coordinator who implements these and other programs from Anheuser-Busch Companies. All the programs brought to the community examine the important issues of personal responsibility, positive peer pressure, the laws involving alcohol abuse and most importantly making the right decisions to avoid consequences behind making the wrong ones.

What kind of program can you benefit from?

If you are an educator, a parent, a grandparent or a friend you can benefit from the Consumer Awareness and Education programs that Anheuser-Busch, Ben E. Keith Beverage and other Anheuser-Busch wholesalers can provide to you at no cost. For the last 24 years people can recall the proactive approach the industry has had in battling issues such as drunk driving and underage drinking. Our campaigns have varied over the years including Know When to Say When, We all Make a Difference, and our most recent campaign Responsibility Matters. This campaign title describes our industry responsibility as well. Since 1982 Anheuser-Busch and it’s family of wholesalers nationwide have invested more than a half-billion dollars in a comprehensive portfolio of more than two dozen community-based programs and national advertising campaigns to promote responsible drinking and help prevent underage drinking and drunk driving.

Speaker’s Bureau

Educators, peer groups, military and even corporate relations departments can benefit from our wide variety of speakers who travel the country to speak of the importance of making responsible decisions and the effects and consequences of alcohol abuse. Their ability to connect with audiences of all ages on these important issues is one of the reasons we continue to get requests daily to have them visit our communities. While these speakers can book quickly throughout the year, Ben E. Keith’s CA&E Coordinator, Clara Garibay can find a speaker that will fit your needs. Family Talk and College Talk

Parents and family members: Not quite sure how to address the issue of drinking with your underage student? As parents ourselves, A-B and Ben E. Keith Beverage can provide you with a free guide booklet and other helpful tools to get the lines of communication open with you and your child. Roper Youth Reports have surveyed students between the ages of 8 and 17 and results showed their parents as the primary influence in their decisions about whether they drink alcohol or not.
