Lagunitas Brewing

From landing in the welcoming arms of Petaluma, and actually getting their beer into bottles, onto the streets, and into the hands of sympathetic beer geeks, to steadily losing less money each month. From all this and more, Lagunitas Brewing Company is emerging as a battle-tested brewery capable of making great beer out of goat’s milk, brambles, and asphalt on the surface of the Moon, if need be.

IPA

This homicidally hopped version of the classic style is Lagunitas’ flagship brand. It has a huge hop character, but enough malty richness to keep things insane, flavourous and drinkable.

ABV: 5.8%

Dog Town Pale Ale

A nice, clean, and crisp pale ale with just the right amount of hops to make your mouth long for the next sip.

ABV 6.4%. Available Seasonal

The Censored Rich Copper Ale

This ale contains no actual copper but we’re pretty literal… It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots’a nice caramel malt though…

ABV: 5.9%

Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale

A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale

Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing!

ABV: 7.7%
IBUs: 64

Imperial Stout

Dark and thick like your favorite dessert with a Bonus. Highly roasted malted barley, and plenty of it, gives the beer uncommon richness and smoky, roasty depth? kinda like a hydraulic sandwich in a glass.

ABV: 8.2%

Hop Stoopid

For those mornings when you have to cut right to the chase, this is the one. Sure to blast through just about anything still lingering from the night before, this mouthful of Hops and huge rich Malt has a gaurantee built right into the name!

ABV: 7%

The Hairy Eyeball Ale

This brew poured a hazy brown color with a small off white head. Aroma was very malty, some dark fruits, and toffee. Flavor was much the same, very subdued hops, lots of thick malts.

ABV 9%. Winter Seasonal Release

Olde Gnarly Wine

Pours as a wonderful light amber with a slight head. Aroma is of prunes, grapes, cherries, and of faint hops. Old Gnarly Wine has a heavy, syrupy body with plenty of fruit and alcohol in the finish. Like many barley wines the flavor improves as it warms – well balanced and easy drinking.

ABV 9.7%. Autumn Seasonal Release

Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale

Our oxymoronic ‘Imperial Mild’ – A redux to remember the ‘05 St. Paddy’s Day Massacre. Defiant as to style … We Can say for sure it is unforgiven and unrepentant.

ABV: 9.9%

Imperial Red

Big on the spicy, skunky hops, bigger on the rich red malt. A variation of our original 1993 “Lagunitas Red”. Still in the handy 6-pack carriers for your enjoyment.

Approx. Release – August 2009

ABV: 7.8%

Maximus

An orange-body, foamy head, fresh hop aroma that includes a tropical note of pineapple and mango making this brew pleasing to the palate. The added intensity of ingredients, amplifies everything to a balanced heightened sensation experience.

ABV 7.5%. Available year-round.

Little Sumpin' WILD

Another Big Sister of the Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale… Loads of Malted Wheat for a Curious Malt Foundation and a Light Color, But Our Belgian Yeast Leaves a Huge Flavor and Complexishness.

Best With: Generally speaking, Belgian ale is a gastronomic miracle. The delicate spicy and fruity nature of these ales, accentuated by the distinctive Belgian yeast strains, pairs beautifully with lamb, mussels, and semi-soft cheeses such as gouda, havarti, and tilsit.

ABV: 7.8%

Cappuccino Stout

This one has a dark brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is dominated by a light roast, some chocolate, and medium coffee with cream. Flavor has a good deal of creamy coffee with a nutty roast and chocolate in the background.

ABV 8.3%. Autumn Seasonal Release

Brown Shugga

Brown Shugga pours as a cloudy brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was very sweet and malty and the flavor was much the same, actually tasted like brown sugar with just enough grapefruity hops to add a little bite to it.

ABV 9.9%

Sirius

This cream ale has a balanced hop aroma, mile citrus and caramel. Looks good, light and fragrant to the mouth. Flavor is crisp & pleasant, again that hop-malt balance.

ABV 7.6% Spring Seasonal Release

Lumpy Gravy

Released in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the release of Frank Zappa’s masterwork, “We’re Only in It For The Money” album, this brew is lightly sweet, toasty with a hint of cookie. The head is off white, creamy, excellent lacing and mostly diminishing. The color is dark golden brown with hints of red and a medium body textured with a creamy, soft carbonation.

ABV 7.2%. Special Seasonal Release

Lucky 13

Lucky 13 pours red with an orange tint and foamy, off-white head that diminishes slowly. The initial flavor includes combinations of caramel, citrus, and plenty of sweet malt. Flavor shifts to be dominated by the hops with its medium body, light carbonation, and lots of warming from the alcohol.

ABV 8.3% Special Seasonal Release

Kill Ugly Radio

Released in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the release of Frank Zappa’s, “The Mothers Absolutely Free”, this beer pours a clear golden yellow with a lighter looser white head. Light malt over slightly past prime juicy hop with a hint of fruity Guava and papaya.
