Allagash Brewery

Allagash Brewing, staying true to the Belgian tradition, has an expansive portfolio of beers. Each beer is hand crafted and bottle conditioned through the Methode Champenoise where each batch of ale is dosed with a precise amount of yeast and sugar to begin the second fermentation and the natural carbonation of the beer. This traditional and time-consuming extra step gives Allagash bottled beers a characteristically smooth mouthfeel and complex flavor and aroma profile.

Allagash Four

Allagash Four is brewed with four malts, four hops, four sugars and four Belgian yeast strains. During the mashing process, we add Date Sugar to the mash tun. Later, during the boil, we add Light Candi, Dark Candi, and Light Golden Molasses. After primary fermentation with the first strain of yeast, we add more Candi Sugar, and referment the beer with a secondary strain of yeast… that process is then repeated with a third strain of yeast, and finally a fourth for bottle conditioning in the cellar. The Allagash Four Ale is presented in a strikingly decorated bottle, and is truly a unique beer! ABV: 10%

Best With: This big beer is best as an after dinner beer but those who seek a massive meal experience would appreciate the pairing between spicy chicken gumbos and Andouille Sausage.

Allagash White

Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White is unique and truly refreshing. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and our own special blend of spices, this beer is light and slightly cloudy in appearance, with a spicy aroma of freshly ground coriander, and a subtle citrus flavor created by dried orange peel.. Overall, it is a beer that is very drinkable and smooth any time of the year. ABV: 5%

Best With: This exceptional Belgian style white is very good with fried fish, sardines, Arctic char and salmon. The hops will also give this beer the muscle to stand up to spicy Thai and Mexican dishes.

Allagash Dubbel

Allagash Dubbel boasts a dark mahogany color with ruby hues and complex malty taste. The finish is dry with subtle hints of chocolate and nuts. With time, Allagash Dubbel will mature in the bottle and acquire distinctive port and sherry characteristics. ABV 7.0%

Allagash Tripel

This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel’s finish is remarkably long and soothing. ABV 9.0%
