König
König Brewery values its nearly 150-year history, in which it grown from a small local brewery into one fo the leading breweries with almost 350 highly qualified and motivated staff members. The one thing that has not changed is how König uses only excellent ingredients such as hops from the best growing areas in the world and the finest barley malt.König has been a 100% subsidiary of Bitburger since July of 2004. At that time, like today the management of the tradition felt obligated to maintain that which justified Theodor König more than 140 years ago.

König Pilsener

The König pours clearer than about any beer you can imagine. This brew is a medium golden color with exceptional clarity and plenty of small, well-defined bubbles meeting at a thin white head that lingers for the duration of the beer. König has the typical aroma of a Pilsner, only with an additional dose of biscuity malt that gives this an unusually sweet bready aroma. In the mouth, this beer is exceedingly flavorful. It starts sweet and sharp on the tongue with just a slight bite of hop. The final sensation is of a hop bitterness at the back of the throat and a bready richness remaining at the center of the tongue. It is exceptionally rich and full, but still crisp and refreshing, as a Pilsner should be. ABV 4.9%
