Breckenridge Brewery
Imagine, if you can, a ski bum who loves to drink beer. It was with Richard Squire, who ended his search for the perfect brew by making his own. As the popularity of his beers grew, Squire spent less time on the slopes and more time brewing beer. Today, his Breckenridge Brewery, which officially got its start in 1990, offers an array of ales, including Avalanche Ale, and Summer Bright Ale; porters in flavors such as vanilla and oatmeal; and at several company-owned pubs and restaurants in and around Denver. Its beers also can be bought in stores in more than some 20 US states, primarily located in the Midwestern US.

Regal Pils
Regal Pilsner is a double pilsner that, while brewed similar to a traditional Bohemian pilsner, is produced with American Sterling and Magnum hops, giving the beer an American craft beer flair with a hoppy finish. Brewery Director and Brewmaster, Todd Usry, says, “We chose Sterling hops for its floral aroma over the spiciness of Saaz hops traditionally used in pilsners. The Magnum hops finish the beer with a clean mouthfeel.” At 7% ABV (alcohol by volume), Regal Pilsner is full, yet soft in traditional pilsner style.ABV: 7%

Agave Wheat
This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.ABV: 4.2%

Lucky U IPA
We like to think this is an ale for everyone who believes you make your own luck. We sure did. And the result is a well-balanced, soulful IPA with just the right amount of hoppiness. An even keeled ale that goes down clean and refreshing, but still lets you know it’s been doted on by the Brewmaster. It’s true to it’s IPA heritage, but also highly drinkable. Lucky U. And we seriously mean that.ABV: 6.2%

Avalanche Ale
Avalanche Ale is a very nice deep amber color with some yellow and orange highlights and a brilliant clarity. Slightly sweet with a bit of light toffee, the smell of freshly crushed malt and the hops emerges with a somewhat peppery spiciness and floral character that is soft on the palate without much carbonic acid tingle.ABV 5.41%

Oatmeal Stout
Oatmeal Stout is black as midnight with just a flash of bright ruby red at the edges of the glass. Lots of roast barley in the flavor, complete with all the coffee and cocoa flavors you expect to find a beer made with roasted unmalted barley. Oatmeal Stout starts out bitter-sweet on the tongue, and the sweetness hangs there nicely right up until the bittering hops make their presence known with a lingering bitterness in the back of the mouth. This is really a delicious glass of beer!ABV 4.95%

Small Batch: 471 IPA

471 IPA pours as a clear, orangey color with a creamy, eggshell white, moderate head; it has a good lasting ability and some sporadic lace. Aroma sweet from the tangerine, light orange peel, light pine, dank, wisps of alcohol, and faint notes of biscuits. Flavor is similar with its tangerine, grassy notes, light pine resins, light white grapefruit peel, and a sweet bread note. Palate is medium, lively, and balanced between oily, dry, and crisp and lingering tangerine notes.

Small Batch: 471 ESB - Extra Special Bitter
471 ESB pours a deep copper color approaching a rich mahogany color. The thin head quickly dissipated, but does leave small bits of lacing on the glass. A great deal of caramel flavor is evident in this brew with a blast of hops that is not initially expected. Toasted malt also makes an appearance about half way down the beer, but reveals a very nice balanced flavor of hops and malt. The hops take stage first but the sweetness of the caramel flavors tones it down quite a bit. Toasted malt really comes to life as well on the finish. The mouthfeel is actually quite nice and full and with the low carbonation, one experiences a nice bite both on the front and back of the palate.ABV 7.8%

Vanilla Porter
Vanilla Porter beer is a dark, seal brown that thins to mahogany-amber when held up to the light. An aggressive pour forms a sizable almond head that retains well, receding to a patch of large bubbles and a foamy ring. The aroma is a bit like that of a chocolate stout and hints of milk chocolate, nuttiness, and a kiss of roasted malts are present. Medium bodied, with a fuller feel after the swallow, Carbonation is mellow and silky, and the finish is extremely sweet.ABV 4.7%
