Full Sail Brewery

As brewers of Oregon’s original Amber Ale and the first Oregon microbrewery to successfully bottle beer, Full Sail has stayed true to its commitment to hands-on manual brewing and absolute quality. Full Sail IPA

The superstar Full Sail IPA is a rich golden amber color with a faint mousse. Herbal soap and buttered golden raisin toast aromas have a dried meat edge. A soft entry leads to a low carbonation light-to-medium body of buttered white toast, honeyed dried citrus peels, and grassy hops finishing with a soft delicate fade with firm but supple herbal and earth hops. A clean, refreshing sensation finishes off this offering well.

Full Sail Amber

In 1989, when we brewed our first batch of Full Sail Amber, not only was it the first Amber ale here in Beer Mecca (aka Oregon)—it was the first craft beer to go into a bottle. Two things became immediately apparent. It wasn’t regular and it sure as heck wasn’t Light. Our Amber is a sweet, malty, medium-bodied ale with a spicy, floral hop finish. It’s brewed with 2-row Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts with Mt. Hoods and Cascade hops. ABV 6.1%

Full Sail Pale Ale

When you think of American pale ales, you first think of hops. But Full Sail hasn’t forgotten that all great beers need balance, and to balance hops you need malt. The aroma of this beer reveals its malty base right from the start. Don’t worry – the hops still come through, but they don’t dominate. On the tongue, the rich copper beer has a clean hop flavor that is also balanced by bread-like malt flavors, then the hops and yeast burst into the finish unleashing a palate-full of fruity flavors. Usually, a beer this fruity is also quite filling and dense, but this pale ale is refreshing and clean through the finish.

Full Sail Sessions

Session is Full Sail’s way of bringing back the pre-Prohibition American Lager. It’s an all-malt Continental Pilsner brewed with American and European hops, so it’s flavorful, refreshing, and has a touch of that import-style taste. (Which, once upon a time, you didn’t have to buy an “import” to get.) Oh, and it comes in a stubby, 11-oz bottle like the one your grandpa used to buy. This seemed appropriate since he was invented back before Prohibition, too. So after your next session (surf, jam, gab, whatever), crack open a Session and drink to the good old new days. Rich old gold color, flax, dried lemon, dough, and slightly soapy aromas follow through to a round, frothy medium body with a lemon-orange custard, nut bread dough, and riverbed fade. A nice, zesty session beer. ABV 5.0%
